Back from Dr. The Cyst is not completely gone, He will have to have another MRI Scan done July or August, to see if the surgery shrunk, if it hasn't Keegan will be looking at another Brain Surgery. Right Now, We HOPE, PRAY, and THINK POSITIVE, That the surgery help start the process.

Happy Memorial Day!

Keegan has been doing great! I am so happy. We went to visit Papa & Yaya today, Keegan has been spilling the words, Mama, ME, ME, ME, Hot, Gog (Dog=JD). Not to mention he is still signing! I can not wait until our check up with Dr. Sood in 3 weeks to see what he has to say. We may and try to take Keegan back to school on Thursday.

It has been a week tonight that Keegan had to be readmitted to Children's Hospital in Detroit (Photo Above) for a temp of 104.5 and uncontrollable crying. It seemed he contracted a virus while inpatient, Thank Goodness. We never prayed for a virus before, but certinly did this time. I am glad it was not intracranial pressure and they did not have to go back into the surgical site. Speaking of Surgical Site Keegan has his sutures removed tommorrow in Detroit so we are headed there bright and early.

Finally Home

We got home yesterday afternoon! Keegan slept a majority of the afternoon from the sedation, his pain is manageable. His little hands are so sore from all the pokes. He goes back on May 26th to have the Stiches Removed and then June 18th a follow up with Dr. Sood and another MRI in 4 months! Now that we are home he is so happy, we have moved his bed into our room, so I can keep a close eye on him. If nothing else it is Mommy Security!

He is Coming Around!!!

Keegan started showing remarkable improvements this evening. They first moved him from PICU to a standard hospital room. He is scheduled for a followup MRI at 8am tommorrow morning. Thanks to my Dad, we are staying at the Comfort Inn, and Marc is able to sleep with Keegan at the hospital. When I was walking out of the room this evening Keegan sat up and called out Mama to me... this is the first time ever!!! Can he be making progress already? We are hoping and praying that home is in our near future, we are all ready to be at home and get some good rest. Again Chayce and Savana have been Ultimate Troopers. We were blessed with Many Loving Vistors today ...Papa and Yaya, Uncle Shayne, Aunt Kim and Marcia, Savana and Chayce and Pastor Frusti.

Chayce and Savana brought Keegan the hugest ELMO Balloon he is so excited! Now we just wait tommorrow's test results....Please Keep Praying!

What a long day.......................

This has got to be the longest day I have ever lived! Keegan got out of surgery way later than expected. He was very pale and had me so worried, his heart rate was elevated. They let the kids peek at him and neither one of them took that well. Bless their hearts They were such troopers, I am so proud of them.
We got back to this room at about 11pm, I am hoping Chayce makes it thru the night there is no air and it is 150 million degrees in here. We got stuffed in this little room because RMH was full there is a full size bed and me and the kids are in there with no pillows and bless Shayne's heart he is curled up in the recliner. This does not work well with a tube fed child. We will see what news Dr. Sood can give us in the morning.

Surgery Day

Whoa! Today was off to a rough start, with the insurance approving Keegan 1hr prior to his surgery. Then when we arrived Keegan's surgery was delayed but we were lucky to meet Nurse Holly (fellow eosinophilic mom). She took great care of Keegan and even gave him some cute frogs to play with while he waited. He really loved her stethescope :)

We were able to accompany Keegan while they put him asleep. He was supposed to be out of surgery and now they tell us not until after 7Pm!!! I am freaking this is the longest I have ever been away from my baby!!!

So we sit and wait...

RMH is still full so Marc walked to rent another room... My parents are staying here this evening, over at the Marriott. Shayne has been a tremendous help with the Kids. The Kids have been ever so great. They got to hang out in Jacks Playhouse here at the hospital and the waiting room play area, and Thank Goodness for Nintendo DS!!!

Please Keep Praying I will update as soon as we can or get signal!! Our cells don't work in very many areas, so please don't think we are ignoring anyone!

Much Love,

The Kyle Family
